Corporate Information
Kuala Lumpur Sentral is being developed by a consortium, Kuala Lumpur Sentral Sdn Bhd, owned by Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd (64.38%) (MRCB), Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (26%) and Pembinaan Redzai Sdn Bhd (9.62%).

On June 27, 1994, the Government awarded a contract to develop what was then the Railway Yard in Brickfields - housing warehouses, the Pos Malaysia parcel office and a number of other offices - to the consortium led by Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB). The idea initially was to develop a comprehensive and integrated rail transportation nucleus, which the Government realised was needed to support a socio-economically fast-growing nation. As this basic idea took shape, however, it metamorphosed into the development of a city-within-a-city.

In developing the various components that make up KL Sentral, KLSSB has entered into joint ventures with a number of leading developers from the region, including Singapore-based Capitaland for the development of the luxurious Suasana Sentral Condominium; and Tokyo-based Daito Trust Corporation for the development of five-star Hilton Kuala Lumpur and Le Meridien hotels.
